Senegal
My girls and I visited a village on our way from the coast south of Dakar heading south towards the border to The Gambia. Something special about the common life of women and mothers buying food for lunch and dinner. This is their local supermarked and small portions are necessary when they have no refrigerator in this heat. We brought rice and milk. It was such a good experience for all. Lærke took great portraits and the women liked seeing their pictures and asked for more, laughing. I could have never explained this experience of smile, heat, smells and interactions to the youngest in a school room at home.
